Seismic waves observed in embankment section of 400 meter

In the northern embankment of a dutch canal, known as "Eemskanaal", near the purification facility in Garmerwolde, several tilt-sensors are mounted over a range of 400 meters.

In the animation below, the incremental movements of all sensors during a 3 minute period are shown at the moment the seismic wave propagates through the embankment.

The animation is speeded up 10 times and the movements are amplified by 10.000 times.

By moving the slider u can easily move to the desired time-frame. With the stop/play button u can stop or resume playback.
